ADDING THE GRANNY FLAT
Episode 1

The Journey Continues - Episode 1

The time has come to add a 'granny flat' to the newly renovated Umina House, to host family and friends or to rent out...

The overall size of the block of land is about 650 m², and fortunately, the main house was built off-centre, making the backyard large enough to add a guest house accessible directly from the back street. A comfortable two-bedroom house with a spacious living room, a large deck, and a generous garden... James explains the tweaks he added to an existing floor plan and the choice of finishes and materials for the exteriors...

Watch as this project begins, the foundations of the new dwelling are laid and the house suddenly reveals its footprint...
